Pastels - It's spring, finally.

Today I'm not writing about fashion. I want to touch on the subject of criticism and how to develop thick skin. I'm perhaps the most confident person you'll ever know/meet. No, not conceited - I'm beyond conceited actually. I do not complain about anything on my body, I feel completely fine the way that I am, I don't feel the need to undergo any surgery to enhance a certain feature on my body and feel better about myself (although if you do - props to you for being so brave!) and lastly, I fully embrace who I've become. I can personally say that I take criticism well - when it's constructive criticism. If what you have to say about me is not going to make me become a better person or increase my ability to do something superior, your opinion is absolutely worthless, invalid, weak. It's so so so sad how some people feel the need to bash on others to feel better about themselves. I do understand that opinions are like assholes (excuse my french) and everyone's got one but you need Jesus in your life if all you do is criticize other people's lives, views or ideas because you can't simply understand it. Focus your energies on yourself instead and ask yourself, am I perfect? You aren't. My advice is if what you're doing makes you happy, keep doing it - in the end that's all that truly matters. If you want to know more about how to cope with criticism there's a perfect article regarding this subject on IFB. Click here to read.

Quote Spotlight
“Fear of shame is a powerful tool to modify behavior, and those in power have been using it for years. They want to be able to change us by delivering shame and we’ve been taught to listen it I, believe it, and swallow it.
It’s fine to acknowledge that there are those who will seek to shame you. But that doesn’t mean you have to accept what’s given. We don’t work for the applause, and we’d be foolish to read the anonymous comments on Amazon or the tweets coming from the back of the room. That attempt to quiet you down and make you conform doesn’t belong to you unless you want it to.” - Seth Godin

Peek At Miu Miu's Capsule Collection Of Dare-To-Be-Different Specs
By:
"We'll admit: Wearing a statement-making item right on your face is a bold move. And while it can take a bit of sartorial bravery, we think Miu Miu's newest set of specs are just the thing to finally help you shake up your eyewear game. Released this May, the Miu Miu Rasoir glasses are four designs that break the mold of traditional frame shapes. With a wide, winged shape and a frame that doesn't quite wrap around the lens, the Rasoir styles embody all the strong, flirty, yet dare-to-be-different appeal of the brand's clothing collection. The four unique designs in the capsule collection — solid, colorblocking, and prints included — will be available at the beginning of May on its e-commerce site and in select Miu Miu boutiques." -Source: Refinery29
What do you think of these? hmm...I have mixed feelings.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!
