I do love me good quality, expensive, top of the line, name brand, fashionable, haute couture; pair of shoes, handbag, little black dress, and even a sheer chiffon blouse. But, in my own little world and because I wasn't fortunate enough to be born being the queen of England - I strongly believe in quantity over quality. I'm definitely a bargain shopper. When it comes to fashion, I prefer to have 100 pairs of shoes worth $30 each than 30 pairs of shoes worth $100 each. Don't get me wrong though I do splurge on pieces that I know are classics and have potential to be worn more than once - ie: a watch, black pumps, a nude pair of heels, a pair of jeans, sunglasses, leather jacket, leather bag etc...My problem is that I have a really bad tendency and bad habit of not wanting to wear certain things in my closet twice. I don't know why! I just don't, especially dresses. So why would I spend $450 (which I can afford - not bragging though lol) on a BCBG dress when I can get myself about 4 to 5 dresses very similar looking to the BCBG one for 1/3rd of the price? (And wear it once) Just to own a BCBG dress? Most of the time if not all the time, people don't even know the brand of what you're wearing and as far as I'm concerned no one walks around with labels on their clothes. I won't lie though - perhaps if I had the money that some celebrities have, I wouldn't think twice about buying everything high end and spending $1,000 on a tank top that says Herm├ęs in helvetica. Did you happen to hear that Jennifer Lopez was spotted wearing $10 dollar shoes (the shoes had the sticker price at the bottom)? So what if she's a millionaire and just happen to like those $10 shoes! Doesn't mean that because you're filthy rich you need and must buy everything expensive. Nope, apparently she didn't think so! You go J.Lo! Flaunt those $10 shoes gurl!
TGIF! Have a great weekend everyone!

Be prepared to shine bright on the streets in 2013 with holographic trends popping up all over the place! Hologram glamour is the new trend on the rise and I have to say I’m not hating it! It’s been seen all over the runway for Spring 2013, with each designer putting their own unique spin on it. Who knew there were so many ways to wear hologram? From fashion heavy-weight Burberry Prorsum to Hugo Boss and Jonathan Saunders, most fashion houses have celebrated the futuristic-looking holographic trend by using metallic colours and high-sheen fabrics. Like a taffeta dress, the iridescence of holographic adds a touch of fun dimension to an outfit. If you’re apprehensive about glimmering/catching light from different angles, start with holographic shoes, bags or even basic metallic pieces like jewelry. Don’t get too crazy though! My advice is to remember to wear big holographic statement pieces at night – you might just blind someone in daylight lol.
Would you rock this trend?

Mustard Me White - DVF

BbRrr! Don't be fooled by the sun, it's freezing! What on earth happened to spring? Lately mother nature has been so bipolar! She doesn't love us apparently. Not surprised though, everyone who lives in New Jersey or New York knows how crazy and unstable the weather is here.  Mother nature needs to get it together or else! I don't know why but I'm not so fond of white shoes, actually white pumps to be exact. There's just something about white shoes that aren't appealing....something! Second time I wear these, and probably the last time. Anyone want's them? They're a size 8!

Diane von Furstenberg Designs Second Collection for GapKids
By: Sharon Edelson
"In a promotional video for Diane von Furstenberg’s limited-edition collection for GapKids and BabyGap, girls wearing dresses and rompers with bold, colorful prints encounter paper animals with similar patterns. “My idea was to make the little girls look like explorers,” said von Furstenberg, who used African-inspired prints and safari themes in the collection. A girl wearing a wrap dress with a blue and white abstract pattern sits atop a matching elephant while a child in a turquoise dress with big white flowers roars at a hippo covered in pink hearts. “I actually worked on it personally,” von Furstenberg said of the collection, her second for GapKids. “I had a lot of fun. It’s a limited engagement. People have to rush and go get it.” The line for girls from newborn to age 14 rolls out Thursday in all Gap stores in the U.S. and on gap.com. Von Furstenberg will be on hand, helping customers shop, at a private event on Wednesday at Gap’s 680 Fifth Avenue location in New York." Source: WWD

How cute is this collection!? Too adorable.
